In the vibrant history of Mysuru, where infrastructure, art, culture, and education intertwine, Bhagini Seva Samaja stands as a testament to educational excellence. Established in 1923 by the visionary Smt. S.K. Surama Bai extended the vision by establishing a co-educational primary school in 1963. Operating up to the tenth grade, it became a cornerstone in providing holistic education for both boys and girls in the community.
It has always been our aspiration to provide gifted youngsters with top-notch education and instil in them a deep awareness of our incredible Indian culture. Our mission at BSS Vidyodaya is to propel holistic development through interdisciplinary education and precise assessment. We utilize digital, experimental, and personalized learning strategies to foster both physical and psychological progress in every young mind, preparing them for a dynamic and successful future.
In 2011, His Holiness Sri Sri Vishweshathirtha Swamiji of Pejawar Mutt assumed leadership of this institution with the noble goal of providing students with a high-quality education, akin to the esteemed Vijaya Vittala Vidyashala, which has been serving the educational needs of nearly 2500 students for over three decades. The current pontiff of Sri Pejawar Mutt, His Holiness Sri Sri Vishwaprasannathirtha Swamiji, has decided to replace the existing building with a new one, deeming it too old for the school's operations.
In alignment with the principles of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, our new building is being meticulously designed and constructed. The emphasis on activity-based learning, tinkering laboratories, career training, promotion of fine arts, AI, ML, and various other aspects of the NEP is driving the architectural features of the new facility. To accommodate these key focuses, additional rooms, laboratories, and cutting-edge teaching tools are being incorporated, ensuring that our educational environment aligns seamlessly with the forward-thinking vision outlined in the NEP.
